"I've had my insurance with this group for 23 years and with State Farm for 31 years total. Debbie took over Ted Hale's book of business ~10 years ago. I never met Ted and the second time I heard from Debbie was today after State Farm cancelled my auto policies. Decent experience with her office staff over the years but the last week all of the problems one would expect from an absentee agent manifested with the cancellation of my policies. 1. Several vehicles hit by a hail storm. I started the claims, found out the damage was only a few thousand and opted to fix on my own. Her office and the adjusters advised that was smart to avoid rate increase. No claim made, no heads up from my agent but 3 hits against my rating. 2. Minor claims like broken windows and wheel damage from potholes. Office said no big deal that's what insurance is for 3. More involved incident with debris from a trailer in the road. No other cars involved, just minor damage to my 2022 Ram but the radiator was destroyed. 2 months in the shop and Dodge notified us the truck couldn't be fixed. I called the office and they told me tough luck. The value to cost repair ratio didn't warrant a total and that many others were in my same situation. I traded the truck at an enormous loss to get back on the road. 4. State Farm cancelled my auto policies with no heads up or warning from my agent. Agent Swinney finally called me (second conversation in 10+ years) told me it wasn't her offices fault, complained that her cut of my policy was only $1700 per year, told me State Farm should have totaled out my truck and proceeded to argue with me defending her agency. Multiple homes, cars, life insurance, umbrella policies etc, it doesn't matter to the agents or the big corporation. Unlock their high risk matrix regardless of the reasons and your out. It's all smiles and rainbows when they collect your money but don't count on this office or State Farm to watch out and caution when the relationship gets bumpy. They will drop you without hesitation and tell you its all your fault."
